The HBA of the Great Lakes Bay Region is passionate about promoting skilled trades education to inspire and equip future builders, electricians, plumbers, and other trade professionals. Through partnerships with local schools, technical programs, scholarships and community events, we provide hands-on opportunities, mentorship, and resources to students exploring careers in the building industry in Midland, Saginaw, Gladwin, Frankenmuth and the Great Lakes Bay Region. By fostering early interest and providing pathways to success, we help ensure a strong foundation for the future of skilled trades.

Upon receiving a Skilled to Build Michigan Foundation Residential Construction Skills Certification, earners will be able to opt-in to getting connected with employers across the state who are interested in hiring a credentialed person. This is a great way to begin building a career.
